Bodegas Leza Garcia
Rioja , Spain
Overview
Bodegas Leza García is a family business that began making wine in the early 1900s. The company still follows the same winemaking practices that have been passed down from one generation to the next. Leza García is known in many countries both for its classic Rioja wines of excellent value for money and for its modern Spanish wines.
Location
The estate lies in Rioja Alta, in the Najerilla valley. Most of the estate's grapes come from the DOCa Rioja wine region. The area is influenced by both continental and Mediterranean climates, which results in a wide diurnal temperature range. This gives the grapes optimal growing conditions and ensures consistent quality from year to year.
The wines
Leza García produces four main ranges of wines: Valdepalacios, Nube de Leza García, Leza García and the Single Vineyard wines. The ranges include Joven, Crianza, Reserva and Gran Reserva wines. All the ranges share outstanding value for money. In them you quickly notice the winemaker's ability to handle tannin and to keep the wines in balance.
